Little Teddy and the Sleepover

Hello everyone! It’s been quite a while since I’ve written a story, but I’m going to give it a go! I may be a little rusty, but I hope everyone will enjoy the story!

Little Teddy and the Sleepover

The little teddy was excited. Her mommy and daddy had told her that she could have some friends over for a sleepover. She ran as fast as her little teddy legs could take her to each of her friends’ houses to see if they could come over. Zombie Jem said he was free to come over, as did Cleo and T. Dee and Little Dee had plans and couldn’t make it. This was a little disappointing to the little teddy, but she understood. So she continued on her quest to ask more friends to come to her sleepover!

Along the way she stopped by her farmer friends, Sonning, Hanley, and Endon to see if they could come. But they needed to tend to the farm. They did send her off with a large basket of potatoes to enjoy at her sleepover. Excitedly, the little teddy went on to get the rest of her friends. Both Mickey and the small cow said they could come. The little teddy was sure that she was going to have a wonderful sleepover. So now she was headed home to get everything ready.

Just as she was nearing home, the little teddy saw someone standing next to a car across the street from her home. As she got closer she saw that it was the news bear, Teddy Tedaloo. “OH!” she exclaimed, waving, “Hi Teddy Tedawoo!” The news bear smirked. “That’s Tedaloo,” he reminded her, “I have something for you.” He opened the trunk of his car and pulled out what looked like two large duffel bags. “What are those?” the little teddy asked, a confused look growing on her face. “They’re tents,” Teddy Tedaloo explained, “I thought you and your friends might enjoy a sleepover outside instead of in the house. It’s going to be a nice night tonight, so you should enjoy yourselves.”

The little teddy clapped her paws together in excitement. “Oh yey!!” she said happily. But then the confused look returned to her face. “Wait,” she began, scratching her head, “how did you know I was having a sweepover?” The news bear laughed. “It’s my job,” he said, “now let me help you take these to your house. They might be too heavy for you.” He walked with the little teddy to the house, where she went to get her daddy. Her daddy greeted Teddy Tedaloo at the door, took the tents, and thanked him for being so nice to the little teddy. Then the news bear went on his way.

As the little teddy’s daddy was setting the tents up, she was busy getting snacks ready. Her mommy had made a big batch of brownies for everyone. The little teddy grabbed some chips and some popcorn as well as some juice boxes. Her mommy grabbed some hot dogs and put them and the juice boxes in a cooler for the the little teddy and her friends. She also grabbed some graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows for s’mores. With all the snacks gathered, the little teddy and her mommy headed out to see if any help was needed with the tents.

By the time they got outside, the little teddy’s daddy had finished the tents and was clearing a nice spot for them to start a campfire. He had set up some blankets for everyone to sit around the fire. The little teddy’s mommy set the cooler down and handed everyone a stick for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows. Everyone took their places around the campfire.

The little teddy and her friends had a lot of fun. They roasted hot dogs and had s’mores. The little teddy’s mommy had even baked some of the potatoes she had gotten from her farmer friends! Her daddy was sitting on the back porch, just keeping watch in case anything happened. He promised the little teddy that he wouldn’t interrupt their sleepover unless he absolutely needed to. But he was sure everything would be ok. The little teddy and her friends were having fun, but being very responsible.

The little teddy and her friends had so much fun. They told spooky stories and sang songs. The small cow impressed everyone with a few fun tricks. He showed his friends how he could skewer a marshmallow or a hot dog with a stick, despite the fact that he was blind. He even taught the others how they could do it too. Zombie Jem had brought a guitar with him, and he and Mickey played a few songs for everyone to enjoy. Everyone was having a blast.

The fun continued for a while, but eventually everyone began to get sleepy. The little teddy went to her daddy to let him know they were ready for bed. He came down and carefully put out the campfire, letting everyone know the importance of always making sure a fire is out completely. Then he tucked the little teddy and her friends into their tents. Cleo decided to sleep in a tree overhanging the tents, so the little teddy’s daddy let her pick a spot and made sure she was comfortable. Once everyone was tucked in, he went back to the porch to watch them for a little while longer before heading in.

The little teddy was laying in her sleeping back, a big smile on her face. This had been a wonderful sleepover. She thought back on all the fun things she and her friends had done. She was glad she had run into her friend Teddy Tedaloo on her way home. “Goodnight evwyone,” the little teddy called out, sleepily to her friends. “Goodnight,” everyone answered. The little teddy rolled over and fell right asleep, her smile never leaving her face.
