Little Teddy and the New Farmer

Hello there, everybody! It’s been a while since I’ve written a story, so I hope I’m not too rusty with my writing skills! Tehehee!! So we’ll get right into the story! I hope you enjoy it!!

Teddy 39

Little Teddy and the New Farmer

The little teddy was playing outside. She was gathering sticks to make her very own castle. She had just about gathered all of the sticks from her front yard and decided to to take a walk down to the forest to get some more. But as she began to make her way down the road to the forest she saw someone walking up towards her.

At first, she was sure she knew who it was walking towards her. It looked just like Little Dee. Only he was wearing a pair of overalls. The little teddy was pretty sure that her cave bear friends didn’t wear clothes. So she decided that this couldn’t be her friend Little Dee. And the idea of making a new friend made her absolutely giddy!

Smiling, the little teddy bounced over to the bear. “Hewwo!” she exclaimed as she reached him. The bear smiled. “Hewwo!” he replied happily, reaching out his paw for the little teddy to shake, “I does be Small Dee!” The little teddy shook his paw. “It’s vewy nice to meet you,” she told Small Dee, “and I yike your overalls!” Small Dee pulled on his overall straps. “Thank you vewy much,” he smiled proudly, “I does maked them myself!” Upon noticing that the little teddy was carrying sticks, Small Dee inquired as to why. “OH!” she told him happily, “I’m gonna make a castle out of sticks!!”

Small Dee began to help the little teddy collect sticks for her castle. “I does think making a castle sounds wike wots of fun,” he told her, “But unfortunatewy I can’t help you make yours. I can onwy help you get your sticks. I have to make my way to my new farm!” The little teddys ears perked up. “OH! You’re a farmer?” she asked excitedly, “Do you gwow potatoes? I wove potatoes!!” Small Dee giggled. “I doesn’t gwow anyfing jus yet! I jus started being a farmer,” he explained.

The little teddy and Small Dee continued to make small talk as they continued to collect sticks. The little teddy was happy to find out that Small Dee was in fact related to her cave bear friends, Dee and Little Dee. Small Dee was their cousin. And though he too grew up as a cave bear, he had always wanted to be a farmer. To grow his own food; to share that food with all of his family and friends. And now he was finally getting his chance. He was going to be the best farmer ever!

Once the two had gathered enough sticks, they began to walk back to the little teddy’s home. “Thank you vewy much for helping me gather the sticks for my castle!!” she happily told her new friend. Small Dee smiled. “You does be welcome,” he replied with a smile, “And thank you for taking the time to talk to me! I does fink we’re gonna be gweat fwiends!!”

It wasn’t too long before the two reached the little teddy’s home. They set down all of the sticks down with the rest of the sticks the little teddy had gathered already. Small Dee gave his new a friend a hug. “I does hope you’ll come visit my farm when I get it all set up!” he told her. The little teddy bounced excitedly. “Oh yes!!” she exclaimed, clapping her paws together, “I jus can’t wait!!!”

After one last hug, Small Dee began to make his way down the road towards his new farm. He hadn’t gotten too far when he heard the little teddy call out from behind him, “OH!!” Small Dee turned to find the little teddy bouncing happily towards him. “I jus wemembered something,” she told him as soon as she reached him, “If you want to become the gweates farmer ever, you should pwobabwy make a pit stop on the way to your farm!”

In just a little while, Small Dee found himself walking up to a large farmhouse. Sitting on the porch of the house were three bears. They all waved to Small Dee as he walked up to the porch, with one of them walking down to meet him. The bear extended his paw, which Small Dee was happy to shake. “Hello there, friend,” the bear greeted Small Dee with a smile, “The name’s Sonning. It’s a pleasure to meet you!” Small Dee smiled. “I does be Small Dee,” he happily answered, “I’m gonna be the bes farmer ever! But I doesn’t know much about farming. But I have it on good word that you and your bwothers can teach I all I does need to know!” Sonning laughed heartily. “I’m sure we can do our best,” he assured Small Dee, “Come! We’ll show you around!”

The new farmer followed Sonning up to meet his brothers. He had a good feeling that he was going to learn a lot from them! He would have to make sure to go back and thank the little teddy once he got his own farm established. Now, he thought to himself, what vegetable did she say she really loved. Oh yes! It was potatoes. He would have to make sure he asked how to grow potatoes. Then he could bring some back to his new friend.

The Little Teddy’s Christmas

Teddy 39

Hello, everyone! Thank you for joining me! I know it’s been a while since I last posted a story, but mommy and daddy have been terribly busy with work so daddy’s had no time to help me write. But here we are with a Christmas story! I do hope you enjoy it!!

The Little Teddy’s Christmas

The little teddy was gathering potatoes. She was trying to gather as many as she could. She was putting two to three potatoes in a box and then closing it. She would then wrap them up with wrapping paper she had made herself. She even made her own bows to top them off. She was quite proud of herself! These boxes of potatoes were to be Christmas presents for all of her friends.

The little teddy was to meet all of her friends at the Dee’s cave. She had borrowed a wheelbarrow from her new farmer friends, Sonning, Endon, and Hanley. She carefully loaded up all of the presents into it and headed off to the cave. She couldn’t wait for her friends to open their presents!

The little teddy was about halfway to the cave when she heard a faint meowing. She looked around until she spotted a cat up in a tree. She walked over to the tree. “OH!” she called up to the cat, “Hewwo!” The cat looked down and smiled. “Hi,” she answered the little teddy, “My name Cweo!” The little teddy waved to Cleo. “Oh! I’m going to a Chwistmas get together wif my fwiends! Would you yike to come?” The cat turned her head curiously. “But mew doesnt reawwy know me. Why would mew invite me to go wif you?” The little teddy smiled. “Because you seem super nice and that’s enough for me!” she excitedly told her.

So the little teddy continued on her way to the Dee’s cave with her new friend. “So where do you wive?” the little teddy asked Cleo, as they walked. The cat purred and smiled. “I just moved to these woods,” she told the little teddy, “does mew live here too?” The little teddy giggled. “Oh no,” she answered, “I wive wif my mommy and sibwings in a house just outside of the fowest.” Cleo nodded. “But mews fwiends live here in the woods?” The little teddy nodded. She told her about all of her friends that she had made over the past year.

It wasn’t long before the two new friends reached the Dee’s cave. Zombie Jem came out to meet them. “PammyBear!” the zombie exclaimed as he hugged the little teddy, “And who might this be?” He nodded and smiled at Cleo. The little teddy clapped her paws together. “OH!” she answered happily, “This is my new fwiends Cweo! She wives in fowest now!” Zombie Jem smiled. “I’m very happy to meet you,” he said as he extended his hand. Cleo reached out her paw and shook the zombies hand. “I is vewy happy to meet mew too,” she told him, smiling.

For the next few minutes, the little teddy introduced Cleo to all of her friends. The two cave bears, Dee and Little Dee were more than happy to welcome Cleo into their cave. Inside were more of the little teddy’s friends. Cleo got to meet Mickey and T, as well as Fuzzy, who apparently came from outer space. Even Teddy Tedaloo showed up for the holiday fun. But he was busy helping to make food for everyone and didn’t have time to do more than say a quick hello.

After she had introduced all of her friends to her new friend, Cleo, the little teddy made her way to the center of the cave, where the cave bears had set up and decorated a lovely Christmas tree. The little teddy marveled at the pretty lights and decorations on the tree. “They did a gweat job wif the twee, wight?” the little teddy asked Cleo, who sat next to her. “Oh yes,” Cleo agreed, “Mew has got some weawwy nice fwiends!” The little teddy nodded in agreement.

The little teddy suddenly remembered her presents. Everyone had agreed on no presents, but she just couldn’t help herself. She ran outside and grabbed the wheelbarrow. She pulled it into the cave. “OH!” she called out to her friends, “I have pwesents for evwyone!” All of her friends gathered around the teddy, curious as to what she had gotten them. The little teddy grabbed the first gift from the wheelbarrow. “The first pwesent is for T!” she handed the mischief maker a box. She then handed the rest of gifts to her friends. “And the wast gift is for Teddy Tedawoo,” she said happily, handing the last box to her news bear friend.

Before everyone could start opening their presents, the little teddy realized that she didn’t have a gift for her new friend yet. “OH! Does anyone have a bag I could bowwow, pwease?” she asked her friends. Little Dee jumped up excitedly. “We does have plenty of bags,” he told her happily, “But why does you need one?” The little teddy leaned in and quietly whispered that she needed it to put a present for Cleo in. “That does be really nice of you,” Little Dee said as he gave the little teddy a nice bag. She quickly put in a few potatoes she had brought as a snack and handed the bag to Cleo.

“Oh, mew didn’t have to get me a pwesent!” Cleo said as she took the bag from the little teddy. “Of course I did,” the little teddy told her, “Your my fwiend!” The little teddy watched excitedly as all of her friends began to open their presents. She couldn’t wait to see the looks on their faces when they saw the potatoes she had so carefully picked out for them. Zombie Jem was the first one to open his present. “Oh, thank you so much PammyBear!” he exclaimed as he pulled three large potatoes from his box.

The little teddy watched as the rest of her friends pulled potatoes from their boxes. Each and every box had three potatoes the she had specifically picked out for each of her friends. Even her new friend Cleo got her own special potatoes. For the ones the little teddy gave her were the ones she was saving for herself. The biggest, yummiest ones she had! But she was more than happy to give the up for her new friend!

After everyone had finished opening their gifts, it was time for food. Teddy Tedaloo had made a variety of potato dishes for everyone. The little teddy was first in line and got herself a little bit of everything. There were baked potatoes and mashed potatoes, fried potatoes and hash browns. The little teddy was excited to try them all. And all the food was delicious! “I didn’t know you could cook so well, Teddy Tedawoo!” she told her friend as she took another bite of her baked potato. “That’s Tedaloo,” the news bear replied, “And cooking is actually one of my favorite hobbies.”

After the food, everyone sat back and enjoyed some music that Mickey and Zombie Jem played for them. Cleo sat next to the little teddy. “Mew has some talented friends,” she told her, “they’re vewy good!” The cave bears, Dee and Little Dee came over and sat with them. “Yes they does pway vewy well,” Dee said with a smile. “It was very nice of them to play for us all,” T said as he came to join them. “Oh yes,” the little teddy nodded, “it’s gweat to hear them pway!”

Once Mickey and Zombie Jem had finished playing, it was time for everyone to head home. Everyone went around and said their goodbyes for the night. The little teddy hugged each of her friends and then left the cave with Cleo. The two walked towards the forest. “Thank mew so much for bringing me wif you,” Cleo said happily as they made their way back to the tree where they had first met. “Of course!” the little teddy told her friend, “I’m vewy gwad you had fun!” Cleo giggled. “I had wots of fun wif mew and mews fwiends!” she told the little teddy.

Once they reached Cleo’s tree, the two friends hugged and said goodnight. The little teddy then continued her walk home. She smiled as she thought back to all the amazing friends she had made this year. She loved all of her friends and was so happy to have met them all. She couldn’t wait to see what kind of fun and adventures would await her and her friends next year. She was sure she would make even more friends too, and she couldn’t wait!

THE END

Well, that’s it for our story. I do hope you enjoyed it! From my family to yours, we wish you all a very happy holiday! Thank you so much for stopping by to read my newest story!

Little Teddy and the Farmers

Teddy 38

OH! Hello there! Thank you for joining me! It’s been a while since I’ve had a new story. I do hope the wait hasn’t been too much! Tonight’s story features three very nice friends of Teddy’s. You can meet them here: @SonningBear. Please give them a visit! They’re very nice bears! So, now, let’s get on with the story! Here we have Little Teddy and the Farmers!

Little Teddy and the Farmers

The little teddy was playing in the front yard. She was using a stick to practice sword fighting. She wanted to become a great sword fighter just in case she ever encountered any monsters on her adventures. The little teddy didn’t know that she would ever meet any monsters, but she wanted to be prepared! She had been getting better and better each day, so she was confident in her abilities.

She was about to head inside when she heard a voice behind her. “Hi there, little bear,” the cheery voice called out. She turned around to see Teddy Tedaloo setting up his newspaper stand. “Oh hi Teddy Tedawoo!!” the little teddy exclaimed. “That’s Tedaloo,” the bear laughed, “What are you doing today?” The little teddy held out her stick. “I’m sword fighting!” she said proudly, swinging her makeshift sword around.  The newsbear laughed again. “Well, as important as sword fighting is,” he said, “maybe I could interest you in something else.”

The little Teddy was intrigued. “OH! What could be more intwesting than sword fighting?” she asked. Teddy Tedaloo smiled. “Well,” he began, “what if I told you there were new bears moving in? And that they were farmers? And that they grow potatoes as one of their crops?” The little teddies eyes lit up when she heard the word potatoes. Potatoes were her favorite! “OH! I wove potatoes!” she said excitedly, “I wanna meet farmers!!” Teddy smiled again. “Well there’s a farm down the road where they’ve just moved in,” he explained. He pointed down the road. The little teddy was surprised to see that the farm was actually visible from her home. She thanked the newsbear and headed down towards the farm.

It didn’t take the little teddy too long to walk to the farm. It turned out that the farm seemed further than it was. And when she reached it, she saw three bears sitting on the porch of the farmhouse. Upon seeing the little teddy, the three bears stood up and waved. All three  bears looked very friendly. One of the bears walked down off the porch to meet the little teddy. He was the tallest of the three bears. “Hello there,” he said cheerily, “who might you be?” The little teddy waved and then offered her paw, which the bear happily shook. “I’m jus a wittle teddy who woves potatoes,” she said with a smile.

The farmer bear laughed. He motioned for the other two bears to come join him and the little teddy. When the two other bears came over, he introduced them and himself. “My name is Sonning,” he told the little teddy, “and these are my brothers Hanley and Endon.” The other two bears both shook the little teddy’s paw, smiling. “It’s very nice to meet you,” Hanley told her as he shook her paw. “Oh, yes,” Endon agreed cheerily. “Now, I think we should show this little teddy where we’ll be growing our crops once we’re all settled in,” Sonning told his brothers, who both nodded in agreement, “So, please, follow us little one.” And with that, they headed around the side of their farmhouse. The little teddy eagerly followed the three bears.

What the little teddy saw around the house amazed her. A huge expanse of land with nothing growing lay before her. Her eyes scanned the area, trying to determine just how big it was. But, the little teddy was unable to tell. “Wow,” she gasped, “there’s so much wand here!” The three bears laughed. “Yes, and in no time at all, we’ll have planted our crops,” Hanley told her. “And when they begin growing, it’s going to look much different here,” Endon added. The little teddy looked out at their land again, trying to imagine it filled with crops. It was too much for her to think of!

“So when do you gwow the potatoes?” the little teddy asked the farmers. Sonning laughed heartily. “Well, it won’t just be potatoes growing hear, little one,” he explained, “We’ll have all sorts of crops!” Endon took the little teddy’s paw and walked her towards the field. “This field will actually be for wheat, barley, oats, and corn,” he told her, “We have a separate area for all of our vegetables. Follow me!” Endon then led the group to the back of the farmhouse. The little teddy was excited by what she saw there.

A huge garden was in the works around back. The three bears had already marked what vegetables were to go where and everything! “OH!” she exclaimed, “This garden is jus so big!!” The three farmers laughed again. “Well, to be successful farmers, we need a big garden,” Hanley told her. “Yes,” Sonning added, laughing, “and if you come with me, I’ll show you exactly where we’re going to grow our potatoes.” The little teddy began bouncing excitedly. Finally! She would see where the oh so yummy potatoes would be!

Sonning led her to section of the garden that was slightly bigger than the rest. “Here is where our potatoes will be planted,” he explained, “As you can see, this section of the garden is a little bigger than the rest. That’s because we too love potatoes!” The little teddy was excited to hear that the farmers enjoyed her favorite food too. “We have a few weeks yet until we can start planting our crops,” Sonning explained, “but once we do, we’ll have our hands full with work to do.” Hanley and Endon both nodded. “Yes, it’s hard work being a farmer,” Hanley agreed.

The Teddy took a bit to walk around the garden, checking out each garden plot. It was really exciting for her to see exactly where all the vegetables were to going to be grown. “Ive always wondered where my potatoes came fwom!” she giggled, poking the garden plots with her paw. Sonning laughed. “Well, you may end up getting them from us this year,” he told the little teddy. “Oh tha’s a vewy cool thought!” she said. She was excited to know the farmers who would grow her potatoes.

“I’m sorry you came all the way here to see our farm to catch us just getting things set up,” Hanley apologized. The little teddy shook her head. “Oh no, tha’s ok!” she assured him, “It’s jus fun to see such a cool farm!” The three bears smiled. “Thank you very much,” Sonning said happily, “But we do hope you’ll come by to visit once we’ve actually got some crops planted! Maybe we can show you everything necessary to be a good farmer!” The little teddy began to bounce excitedly. “OH! That would be so vewy gweat!” she exclaimed.

The three farmers invited the little teddy to stay for a snack before she left. And the little teddy was more than happy to accept the invitation. Sonning and Hanley went to the kitchen to cook up something, so Endon asked the Teddy to go on a short walk with him. “We’re going to an area off the other side of the farm. I wanna show you something,” he told her as they headed down a small dirt road. The little teddy was curious as to what Endon wanted to show her.

The walk was short, and the little teddy wasn’t disappointed. What awaited them at the end of the path was a giant wall with what appeared to be rocks jutting out of it. “What is this?” the little teddy asked, wide eyed. “This is my rock climbing wall,” Endon explained. “Wock cwimbing?” the little teddy asked, “But I thought you were a farmer?” Endon laughed. “I am,” he told her, “but I also have a dream to become a great moutaineer some day!” The little teddy looked up the huge wall. She was amazed to think anyone could climb such a large wall.

“So how do you become a mountaineer?” the little teddy asked Endon. “I just practice climbing every day,” he answered, “There’s this world famous mountaineer bear named Munro. I really look up to him and hope to be as good as him some day! Maybe even meet him!” The little teddy nodded. “That would be so cool!” she told him, “I weawwy hope you can meet him one day!” Endon smiled and then began to lead the way back to the farm.

When they reached the farm, Sonning and Hanley were just coming out. The both were carrying a large plate. As they got closer, the little teddy thought she smelled potatoes. And she was right! “We have freshly fried potatoes for everyone!” Hanley announced. Endon and the little teddy both took a seat at a picnic table just outside as Hanley and Sonning set out a large plate of potatoes for everyone. They then took their seats alongside the little teddy and Endon. “Oh these jus wook so vewy yummy!” the little teddy told her hosts happily. “Well, dig in!” Sonning told her, smiling.

The little teddy really enjoyed the yummy potato snack that her hosts had made. “Those were super duper yummy!” she told Sonning and Hanley. “Yes, they were quite good, as always,” Endon added, finishing off his plate of potatoes. Both Sonning and Hanley smiled proudly. “Not only do we pride ourselves on our farming, but we also do so in our cooking abilities,” Hanley said. The little teddy nodded. “You bof did a gweat job,” she told them, “Now I think I should pwobabwy head home.” The three bears nodded. “That’s quite alright,” Sonning told her, “We were very happy to have you visit. Your the first visitor we’ve had. Please, do come again!” The little teddy hugged the three farmers and assured them she would be back. And then she headed back home.

Just like the walk there, the walk home didn’t take the little teddy too long. And when she got back, she saw that Teddy Tedaloo was still at his stand. She walked over to him, smiling. “Thank you Teddy Tedawoo! That farm was so cool and the farmers were super nice!!” she told him excitedly. The news bear laughed. “That’s TedaLOO” the told the little teddy, “and I’m happy you enjoyed yourself!” The little teddy hugged the newsbear and then walked back to her yard. She couldn’t help but think about the farmers she’d just met. And she was excited to learn about farming the next time she visited.

THE END

Well, there it is. I do hope you all enjoy the story. I am sorry for taking so long to get this one out. Sometimes stories don’t come easily. And I wouldn’t ever want to rush a story. If I did that, you could end up with a very poor story. And I aim to give my audience the best stories! Please, leave any feedback in the comments section! I will begin working on a new story as soon as inspiration hits!

The Space Teddy

Teddy 39

Hello there! Welcome to a very special story. What makes it so special? This story is about someone very special. She’s my big sister, Teddy! She’s been an astronaut for about three years now. And so I think it would be pretty great to fictionalize her adventures! But, there is a strong tinge of truth to this story. Please keep that in mind, as I believe it will help you appreciate the story a little more. And so here we go with Adventures of a Space Teddy!

The Space Teddy

“Mission contwol, this is Teddy,” Teddy called over the radio, “I’m en route to the alien planet.” After a couple of moments, she received her response. “Roger that, Captain,” came the voice over her radio, “You may continue.” Teddy giggled. “Pwease, I’ve asked you before to just call me Teddy,” she answered, laughing, “There’s no need to be so formal!” A few seconds later, the voice over the radio said, “Copy that, Captain.” Teddy sighed and then switched off her radio.

As she returned her focus to her route, Teddy got thinking about how she became a space pilot. She had been a pilot for a number of years now. But she used to be a regular teddy who lived at home with her mommy and daddy. She was very attached to her mommy. And she missed her mommy and daddy. But she was called upon to be a space pilot and she didn’t really have a  choice but to go.

Teddy had spent many years taking care of her mommy. They had many adventures and had been through a lot together. But then it seemed that when her mommy needed her the most, she had to leave her. It was something that broke the pilot’s heart to think about. But it was also something that helped give her the strength to do a very important job.

Teddy remembered well a few years back, when everything changed for her. Her mommy was going through a very hard time. Her daddy had passed away. And she was struggling to make sense of the world. Teddy didn’t really know how to help her. This was the biggest thing that they had ever gone through. She was doing her best to give her mommy lots a hugs and snuggles, but it didn’t seem to help. But she didn’t think it was because she wasn’t doing a good job. She knew that what her mommy was going through was really hard, and she was going to need a lot of time.

Teddy had learned that he mommy’s daddy was to cremated. And that they were going to bury his ashes at his mom’s grave. So when it came time for them to go to the city where the cemetery was, Teddy did all she could to prepare herself for comforting her mommy. The trip to the cemetery was a long  one because it was in a different city. But it gave Teddy the time she felt she needed to figure out how to help her mommy.

By the time they reached the city, it was too late to do anything. So they got a hotel room. Her mommy, daddy, and her mommy’s brother went out to get some food. And Teddy decided to get a nap. But just as she was drifting off, she heard a strange humming noise in the room. The little bear shot up in bed and saw a large beam of light in the middle of the room. Teddy had to shield her eyes because the light was so bright. But as the light began to fade and she was able to see again, Teddy saw someone standing in the room.

Teddy saw that standing in the middle of the room was a small bear. The bear seemed to be a girl bear, wearing a pink dress and a red bow. Though small, the bear was bigger than Teddy, who was a very small bear. “Um…who are you?” Teddy asked the stranger. The bear walked close to the bed and extended her paw. “Hello, Teddy,” the bear answered, “My name is Fuzzy Bear. But you may just call me Fuzzy, if you like.” Teddy walked to the edge of the bed and shook her paw. “Why are you in my room,” she asked Fuzzy Bear, “And how do you know my name?”

“You may want to sit down,” Fuzzy bear told Teddy, “this may be a lot to take in.” The Teddy sat down at the edge of the bed. “I’m going to need you to trust me on this,” Fuzzy Bear began, “This may sound crazy, but I assure you that everything I’m about to tell you is completely true.” Teddy nodded. She didn’t understand why, but she trusted this strange bear. “I’m an alien,” Fuzzy continued, “but I suspect you guessed that already. I belong to an unnamed group of space pilots that help protect the entire universe. I’m here tonight because we need your help to keep everyone safe.”

Teddy couldn’t believe it. Though she did trust Fuzzy, she found it hard to believe that she was needed to protect the universe. “I understand that you feel you need to be here for your mommy,” Fuzzy told her, “But it is of the upmost importance that you come with me.” Teddy shook head. “No, I need to be here,” she told Fuzzy Bear, “My mommy needs me.” Fuzzy bear took Teddy’s paw in her own and smiled. “I understand your dilemma,” she assured Teddy, “But I promise you she’ll be ok. And, by coming with me, you’ll be helping to keep her safe.” Teddy shook her head again. “I don’t know,” she told the alien, “We’re not weaving until tomorrow. Can I think it over?” Fuzzy told her that she could think it over, but she would need to have an answer tomorrow. She then left.

Shaken up by the conversation she’d just had, Teddy tried to get some sleep. But she was having trouble doing so. So she laid in bed until everyone came back from dinner. And when her mommy did get back, she was actually laughing a little. It seemed that Teddy’s daddy and her mommy’s brother were helping her keep her spirits up, even just a little. A sudden sense of relief washed over Teddy as she saw that her mommy was smiling and laughing. She had been feeling a little guilty because she found that she was intrigued by the idea of going into space. But in that moment, she had made her decision. She was going to protect the universe.

The next day when everyone had left for the cemetery, Teddy waited patiently for Fuzzy Bear’s return. And it wasn’t too long before she did return. Teddy was getting a little excited thinking about becoming a space pilot. “Before I say yes,” Teddy told Fuzzy, “I have a question.” Fuzzy Bear smiled. “Of course,” she answered. Teddy sighed. “Do you know that my Mommy will be ok?” she asked, “I mean, are you sure that she’ll be ok?” Fuzzy Bear smiled again. “Yes,” she assured her, “I do. We aliens have the ability to see slightly into the future. And I know that if you come with me, your little sister, Teddy, will find her way to your mommy and that will lead to more of you siblings finding their way there, too.”

Teddy’s eyes lit up. She couldn’t believe what she’d just been told. Her sister was a very fun loving bear who loved potatoes. They hadn’t seen each other for a while, but they kept in touch. “Now you can’t tell her about this,” Fuzzy Bear told her, “or it could change the outcome of you coming with me.” Teddy nodded. “Just let me stay here until they get ready to weave,” she told the alien. “Of course,” Fuzzy agreed, “I’ll be back for you in a little while.” With that, the alien left. Teddy sat on the bed, wondering how to say goodbye to her mommy. She ultimately decided that she couldn’t do it. She just had to make sure that her little sister would be able to tell her mommy about her adventures when she went to space.

A little while later, everyone came back from the cemetery. Teddy’s mommy seemed in good spirits, despite what she had been out to do. She told her brother and Teddy’s daddy that they should start getting ready to head on home. They began packing up all their stuff. Teddy’s daddy set her carefully in his and her mommy’s bag. When he walked away, she slipped back out and hid behind a pillow. It was then that she got hit with an immense sadness. But she fought that back, knowing that she was going to be doing something very important. As soon as everyone left the room, she walked out from behind the pillow. With tears in her eyes, Teddy smiled. “Bye bye, mommy,” she said aloud, “bye bye, daddy.”

Teddy wiped her eyes as the beam of light carrying Fuzzy Bear lit up the room. “Are you ready?” Fuzzy Bear asked as the light faded. “Acshuwy,” Teddy answered, “I have a quick question. Is it possible to transmit an idea into someone’s mind?” Fuzzy Bear looked confused. “Yes,” she told Teddy, “We can do that with the technology we have. Why do you ask?” Teddy giggled. “I have an idea!” she exclaimed, “I know you said I’m not supposed to tell my wittle sister, but what if I do tell her and then we give daddy the idea to adopt her?” Fuzzy Bear laughed. “Now that’s actually a pretty good idea,” she said, “I think that’ll work. We can make our own fake adoption listing online and make sure he sees it. But we have to do it from the ship.” Teddy nodded and held Fuzzy’s Paw as the beam came down to take them to the ship.

Teddy had no time to admire the ship because they needed to get started on their plan right away. Teddy used a phone on the ship to call her sister. “Hewwo,” came the reply when her sister answered the phone, “I’m the Teddy!” Teddy smiled. It was so nice to hear her sister’s voice. “Hey little Teddy,” she said to her sister, “it’s your big sister. I need to ask you to do something.” She explained the whole situation with her sister. When she finished explaining, she asked, “So, do you think you can handle that? Mommy will really need someone to help look after herself.” Her little sister giggled. “Oh yes!” she answered happily, “I would wove to wive wif her! As wong as she has potatoes! Teheehee! I’m jus joking! But yes, of course!” Teddy smiled and thanked her sister. She got off the phone and she and Fuzzy Bear set up the rest of the plan.

Teddy spent a few of days on Fuzzy Bear’s ship, making sure that everything went according to plan. And it did! Her mommy was sad at first when she realized that Teddy wasn’t with them when they got home. They had called the hotel, but they couldn’t find her. But then they transmitted the idea of adopting another teddy into her daddy’s head. And when he went online to look, he found her little sister. He adopted her straight away. Then in just a couple of days, her little sister arrived. Her mommy was so happy to see her, too, which made Teddy very happy. “I don’t mean to rush things,” Fuzzy Bear said, walking up to the screen where Teddy was watching her family, “but we must start your training.”

The thought’s of her start as a pilot slowly slipped from Teddy’s mind as she approached an asteroid field near the planet. She set her ship to auto-pilot and then took out some paper and a pen. “I’ll have a very interesting story to tell her this time,” she said to herself, smiling, “I bet mommy will be excited when Teddy tells her I’ve sent another letter!” She began writing. She had written her little sister a letter everyday since she started her career as a space pilot. She’d had many adventures since she first went to space. And she had become one of the greatest space pilots of all time. All thanks to Fuzzy Bear’s training. She couldn’t wait to send the letter to her little sister. She finished writing as soon as she’d made it through the asteroid field. She gotten good at timing out her letters to her sister. She just knew that she had to finish this mission and then she could send her letter. “Let’s get this started!” she said excitedly to herself as she went off on her adventure. Little did she know that her little sister was about to start her own series of interesting adventures.

Little Teddy and the U.F.O.

Teddy 39

OH! Hello there! Thank you for joining me for another story! I’m very sorry that it’s been so long since my last story. Daddy has been having a rough couple of weeks at work and hasn’t really been up to helping me. He’s still feeling pretty rough, but he promised to help me today.

Our story tonight is about the unknown. And how just because we don’t understand everything, we don’t have to fear the unknown. I know present to you, Little Teddy and the U.F.O.

Little Teddy and the U.F.O.

The Little Teddy was playing out next to her house. She was pretending to collect potatoes, using rocks to stand in for the potatoes. “Oh I jus have so many potatoes!” She said happily as she added more ‘potatoes’ to her stash. She picked up another ‘potato’ and pretended to eat it. She giggled to herself and pretended to eat another.

As she went to pick up another ‘potato’, she suddenly heard whistling. She looked around to see Teddy Tedaloo setting up his news stand for the day. The little teddy walked up to the news bear. “Good morning, Teddy Tedawoo!” she said happily as she reached him. Teddy Tedaloo smiled. “That’s TedaLOO,” he told her, “And good morning!” He picked up a copy of his latest newspaper and showed it to the little teddy. “Have your heard about the U.F.O.?” he asked her. The little teddy’s eyes widened. “No,” she told the bear, “But pwease tell me about it!”

Teddy Tedaloo told the little teddy that people had been reporting sites of a U.F.O. flying above the woods at night. They claimed that a spherical craft with lots of bright lights would circle the sky above the woods for a while, and then just fly away. “OH!” the little teddy exclaimed as he finished explaining, “I wanna see the U.F.O.! I wanna meet awiens!” The little teddy ran off to tell some of her friends about the U.F.O.

The first place the little teddy went was the cave of her friends Dee and Little Dee. They greeted her happily when they saw her approach the cave. “Oh hi!” Dee said, smiling, “We’z vewy happy to sees you!” The little teddy started bouncing excitedly. “OH! We have to get Mickey and Zombie Jem!” she told her friends, “We’re gonna see a U.F.O.!” The two cave bears began bouncing too. “We want sees yoofos!!” Little Dee told her happily. The three friends hurried off to Zombie Jem’s house.

It didn’t take the three long to reach Zombie Jem’s house. The little teddy walked around to the side of the house to get the doorbell stick. She came back around and used the stick to ring the bell. Moments later the door was opened by a familiar looking humen. “Why hello there,” Sparkie said when as she opened the door, “How are you all doing?” The little teddy and two cave bears all smiled. “Were doing well,” the little teddy answered, “We jus need Zombie Jem so can hang out in the woods and wait for the U.F.O.”

It turned out that Zombie Jem was out with Shakie. “Don’t worry though,” Sparkie assured everyone, “They’ll be home very soon. Now, why don’t you tell me about this U.F.O.?” The little teddy explained what Teddy Tedaloo had told her. Sparkie smiled and nodded. “Ok,” she began, “they should be getting home just about now. So you can go wait for the U.F.O. with him. Just be very careful!” The little teddy and her friends all promised to be safe.

A few moments later, Shakie walked through the front door, followed by Zombie Jem and Mickey. “Oh yey!” the little teddy said happily, “Mickeys here too! No we dont have to get him!” Zombie Jem and Mickey both walked over to hug their friend. She explained the plan to wait for the U.F.O. and meet the aliens. “Oh, that sounds fun!” Mickey told her. “Oh yes,” Zombie Jem agreed, “Let’s do this!” So the friends headed back out into the woods.

They decided to wait in the woods near the Dee’s cave. They could set up some chairs in the clearing and began waiting. “Oh! This fun!” Little Dee exclaimed as he brought out some snacks from the cave. As he began to give some snacks to everyone, he heard a rustling in the trees. Everyone else heard it too, and when they looked around, they saw T jumping around the trees. “Hi, everyone!” he said cheerily, hopping down from the tree, “What are you all doing?” Dee clapped his paws together. “We wait for yoofo!” he told the mischief maker. “What’s a yoofo?” T asked.

The little teddy explained everything to T. “I’ve seen this U.F.O. before,” he told his friends. “Really?” Mickey asked. “Oh yes,” T answered, “I’ve never seen any aliens, but I’ve seen the U.F.O.” The little teddy was getting so excited that she began to bounce. “Oh, look at her,” Zombie Jem laughed, “she’s really excited for this U.F.O.! Let’s all bounce around with her to help pass the time!”

The friends bounced around the woods for hours until it started to get dark. “Oh!” the little teddy said excitedly, “it’s almost time!” The friends gathered back at the clearing by the cave and waited. It wasn’t too long before they got to see what they wanted. The sky began to light up. They heard a loud rumbling coming from far off. It quickly grew louder, and soon they saw the U.F.O. coming towards them.

Soon the U.F.O. was right above them. It began to descend and soon it had landed in front of the friends. “OOH!” the little teddy exclaimed, “U.F.O.!” Everyone gathered together as a door opened on the spacecraft and a ramp lowered. A form appeared at the doorway of the ship. A form that looked bearlike. The figure began walking down the ramp towards the friends.

It turned out that the figure was indeed a bear. “Greetings,” the bear said, waving. The little teddy walked up to bear and waved happily. “OH! Hewwo there,” she said happily, “What’s your name?” The Bear smiled. “Oh, I’m sorry, let me introduce myself,” she began, “My name is Fuzzy Bear, but you can just call me Fuzzy!” The rest of the friends came up and introduced themselves. They even invited her to eat with them.

“So, what made you come to Earth?” Zombie Jem asked as Little Dee got together some snacks for Fuzzy. The alien bear shrugged. “Oh, I was just curious to see what it was like here,” she answered. The cave bears giggled. “Thas funny!” Dee laughed. “Oh yes!” Little Dee agreed, “Iss just Earf!” Everyone laughed and then began eating their snacks. Fuzzy really enjoyed the Earth snacks. “These are so yummy!” she said, eating a snack the little teddy had given her, “What are they called again?” The little teddy smiled. “Oh! Tha’s a potato!!” she told the alien bear. “Well it’s very yummy!” Fuzzy told her!

After eating their snacks, the friends talked about her planet. It turned out to be very similar to Earth. “We just call our planet Home,” she explained to them, “it looks very much like Earth. We even have many of the same animals and foods. But some, like these yummy potatoes don’t grow on Home.” The friends loved learning about Home. T was happy to hear that they even had mischief makers there. “Mischief is very important!” he proudly told everyone.

After talking with their new friend for a while, everyone started to get tired. “Do you have to go back?” Mickey asked Fuzzy. She shook her head. “No, I plan to stay here for a while,” she answered. The little teddy began to bounce excitedly. “OH! Can we all stay the night in your cave, Dee and Little Dee?” she asked the cave bears. The two bears nodded happily. “Oh yez!” Dee said happily, “We be happy if everone stay!” Fuzzy Bear smiled. “Thank you very much for being so nice everyone!” she said, smiling, “Many movies about Earth we have on Home make it seem like you’re all mean and scary!” Zombie Jem laughed. “Actually, many of movies make other aliens seem mean and scary too!” he told her. Everyone laughed. They then settled down for a good night’s sleep.

THE END

Well thank you all for joining me tonight. I hope you enjoyed my story. And though the friends in story didn’t judge the alien bear, many people tend to judge others because they don’t understand their differences. But this isn’t a good way to do things. You should never judge first. It can be very problematic. So even if you didn’t like the story (though I very much hope you did), please know that something being unknown doesn’t make it bad. Thank you all. Please leave any comments you have in the comments section below.

A question from the author..

Teddy 38

Oh, hello there, everyone! Thank you for joining me. Today I would like to put forth a question for you all. Maybe a few questions, actually. I do hope you won’t mind.

So, as a writer, it is my job to keep the reader interested in the story. Otherwise, nobody would read my stories. And that would be quite dissatisfying for me. I would maybe one day like to publish a book of my short stories, if you, my readers, think it would be a good idea. But to do so, I think I would need a lot more stories to be included.

So, here’s the questions. As readers of my stories, what kind of adventures would you like to see the little teddy and her friends go on? Are there any characters you would like to see more of? Would you like to become a character in a story? These are all questions that will help me in my venture as an author. As I said already, I would like to consider publishing a book of short stories. And your answers to my questions will help me be able to get to a point where that could become a very real possibility.

Well, that is all for me. Please, leave your answers in the comments below. And, if you weren’t aware, my little sister Teddy and I both do our best to like and respond to comments left on the blog. So feel free to look back on comments you’ve left in the past. You may just like our reply to you! Thank you very much.
