Little Teddy and the Mischief Maker

Teddy 38

Oh, hello! Welcome to another story time! I’m very happy to see you all again! My stories seem to be quite popular. Before we get to our story, I would like to take a moment to recognize two writer bears who have inadvertently help give me the confidence to begin my own writing career. Teddy Tedaloo (@TeddyTedaloo) and Mawson Bear (@MawsonBear) are both published authors and are both very nice bears. Please, do check them both out when you can!

Now, our story tonight is full of mischief. There are many out there who like to cause trouble. Sometimes, it’s just their way of being playful. Not all trouble is malicious. Some is quite benign. The mischief in our story is of the benign nature. But I won’t give too much away. Let’s get right into the story. It is titled “Little Teddy and the Mischief Maker”.

Little Teddy and the Mischief Maker

The little teddy was walking in the woods with her friends Zombie Jem and Mickey. They were going on another picnic at Dee and Little Dee’s cave. They had grown quite fond of the two cave bears. “I bwought two extwa speshul potatoes,” the little teddy told her friends, “I think they will weawwy yike them!” Mickey smiled. “I’m sure they will,” he agreed.

It had rained the night before so the ground was pretty slick. The little teddy tripped on a rock and, as she tried to get her balance, slipped and fell in the mud. Zombie Jem and Mickey carefully ran to her. “Are you ok, PammyBear?” Zombie Jem asked as he and Mickey reached down to help her up. But to his surprise, the little teddy was giggling. “Teeheehee! That was fun,” she laughed. Mickey laughed as they picked up their friend.

After cleaning up the little teddy, the three friends started back towards the cave. But when Mickey went to grab their picnic basket, he couldn’t find it. “What the?” he looked around, but couldn’t find the basket. “Wha’s the matter?” the little teddy asked him. Mickey shrugged. “Our picnic basket seems to have disappeared,” he answered her, still looking around. “How is that possible?” Zombie Jem asked. Mickey shrugged and shook his head. The little Teddy and Zombie Jem began helping his search.

After searching for about twenty minutes, the three friends were just about ready to give up. “Well, at least we didn’t plan this ahead of time,” Zombie Jem said. “Yeah, but its so disappointing that Dee and Little Dee won’t get to twy my potatoes,” the little teddy replied, hanging her head. “OH!” Mickey called out, “Found it!” The little teddy and Zombie Jem turned to Mickey and saw that he was pointing at a tree. They looked up and saw that their picnic basket was in the tree, hanging from the highest branch.

“How the heck did it get up there?” Zombie Jem asked, trying to figure out how they were going to their basket back down. “Tha’s a weawwy good question,” the little teddy answered, “How are we going to get it back down?” They determined that since none of them were good at climbing, there best bet was to try and knock it down with rocks. They all walked around looking for the biggest rocks they could still throw. But, when they got back to try and knock the basket down, they saw that their basket was now sitting at the base of the tree.

“What?” the little teddy questioned, “It was jus up in the twee. How did it get back down?” She went over to pick it up and noticed that it was much lighter than when they had packed it. She opened it up and was shocked to find it empty. “The foods are all gone,” she told Zombie Jem and Mickey. “What,” Mickey said confused, “How can it all be gone?” Zombie Jem looked up and saw that the contents of their basket were floating in the air where the basket had just been.

“What is going on here?” Mickey asked aloud. Just then, the friends heard a light giggling coming from behind them. They turned around, but nobody was there. Then they heard more giggling, this time from above them. They looked up, but again, nobody was there. “Who’s there?” Zombie Jem called out. But there was no answer. Suddenly, one of the little teddys potatoes fell from where it was floating. Then everything else followed. But it seemed that everything slowed down just before hitting the ground.

The three friends began gathering all of their picnic supplies. After they got them all together, Mickey went to get the picnic basket, only to find it missing again. “It’s gone again!” he exclaimed. Zombie Jem and the little teddy turned to see that their basket was indeed gone again. The heard giggling from behind the tree. Mickey ran around the tree, but found nobody. “Who the heck is messing with us?” he asked aloud as he walked back around.

When Mickey got back around the tree, he found the little teddy and Zombie Jem scrambling to catch all of their food, which was flying around in the air. The little teddy giggled as she chased her potatoes around. “Teeheehee,” she laughed, “this is siwwy and fun!” As he managed to catch some cookies, Jem said, “It may be fun, but I would much rather our food stop flying around so we can get back to out picnic.” As if he had spoken magic words, all the food fell to the ground.

The three friends gathered up their food and other picnic supplies. They put it all into the basket, this time without incidence. Once they were sure they had gotten all of their things together, they headed off in the direction of the cave. But they hadn’t gotten very far when they heard a faint sniffling. “Wha’s that?” the little teddy asked, “Is someone cwying?” They looked around to find the source of the sniffling. The little teddy soon found the source.

“Wook up there,” the little teddy said, pointing up. Zombie Jem and Mickey looked up to see a small bear sitting where their stuff had been up in the tree. “Hey,” Mickey called up to the bear, “come down here!” The bear wiped his eyes. “No!” he yelled down to the three friends. “Come on, pal,” Zombie Jem tried, “we just want to talk.” Again the bear yelled down, “NO!” The little teddy rummaged through the picnic basket. She pulled out a potato and held it up. “I’ll give you this potato!” she told the bear. This time the bears ears perked up. Then he vanished.

Moments later the small bear appeared before the friends. “How did you do that?” Mickey asked the bear, surprised by what he had just seen. “Potato, please,” the bear asked the little teddy, ignoring Mickey. He held out his paw and the little teddy gave him the potato. He took a bite and then smiled widely. “Oh, this is quite yummy,” he told her happily. The little teddy giggled. “It is nummy, isn’t it?” she asked, smiling.

“Why were you crying?” the little teddy asked the bear, after he had finished eating the potato. “Oh,” the small bear sighed, “I thought we were all having fun, but you didn’t like my games.” Mickey and Zombie Jem exchanged glances. “What games?” Zombie Jem asked. “When I was hiding your stuff,” the bear explained, “and when I made it all fly around.” Mickey walked up to the bear. “Wait, that was you?” he asked, “How is that possible?”

“Well, I’m a mischief maker,” the bear explained. He giggled and bowed. “My name is T,” he continued, “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” The little teddy scratched her head. “Mischief maker?” she asked, puzzled. “Yep,” T replied, “It’s my job to cause mischief wherever I go. But only good mischief, never bad.” Zombie Jem laughed. “I didn’t know that mischief maker was a job,” he said, “but that’s pretty great.” T sighed. “We normally like to have fun with others, but you all seemed more frustrated with my games,” he said flatly.

The three friends laughed. “No, no!” Zombie Jem assured T, “We weren’t frustrated at all! In fact it was quite fun.” T shrugged. “Then why did you want me to stop?” he asked confused. Mickey smiled. “Because we’re going to our friends cave,” he explained, “to have a picnic!” T’s eyes lit up. “OHH! I’m sorry,” he told the three, “I didn’t mean to keep you from something so fun!” The little teddy giggled again. “Oh it’s ok!” she told T. Then she had an idea. “OH!” she exclaimed, “Why don’t you come wif us?” T clapped his paws together. “Oh! Really?” he asked happily, “Is it really ok?” The three friends nodded.

On the way to Dee and Little Dee’s cave, the three friends got to know T a little better. In a short time, the little Teddy could tell they had made a really good friend. “So you can really use magic,” Zombie Jem asked. “Oh yes!” the bear happily replied. He then demonstrated some of his magic by disappearing and reappearing multiple times. He then turned to the little teddy. “Do you have another potato?” he asked her, “If so, could I hold it? I promise not to eat it.”

Reluctantly, the little teddy handed over her other potato. T took it and tossed it high into the air. It landed back in his paw. Then to everyone’s amazement, another potato fell down. He caught it too and handed it to the little teddy. “Here, for the one I ate earlier,” he said with a smile as she took the potato. “Oh, thank you,” the teddy smiled, “Now I still have two speshul potatoes for Dee and Little Dee!” T smiled. He was happy to have met such nice bears, despite their misunderstanding. They continued happily to the cave so they enjoy their picnic.

A Hedgehog Trumps at Midnight

Teddy 39

Oh, hello there! Thank you for joining me for another story! This story has a few special guests! I am quite honored to have gotten these guests permission to fictionalize them in one of my stories. If you would like to meet these gusts yourself, please check out their twitter account. Their handle is @slug_soup. You’ll sure to find something interesting from this group. Now, please, enjoy the story!

A Hedgehog Trumps at Midnight

The little teddy was in the forest. She was hanging out with her friends Zombie Jem, Mickey, and her new friends Dee and Little Dee. They had decided to have another picnic since their last one had been such fun. And this time they had more food to share with their cave bear friends. They had decided to have their picnic at night because Dee and Little Dee had told them how pretty it was outside their cave at night.

And it certainly was. The light from the cave seemed to light up their whole picnic area. “It’s all so pwetty,” the little teddy said, looking around the forest. “Oh yes,” Dee said, coming out of the cave, “I fink is bestes part of the fores!” He walked over to the picnic area and set down a huge handful of chocolate. “Oh, that looks yummy,” Mickey said, picking up a piece and popping it into his mouth. “I agree,” Zombie Jem said, “it does look quite yummy.” He grabbed a piece of chocolate for himself and one for the little teddy. They both smiled as they ate they delicious treat.

The little Teddy was about to give everyone a potato when they heard a sound. Like a faint whistling. And as soon as it started, it stopped. The little teddy handed everyone a potato and then took one for herself. “I hope you all yike these potatoes,” she told everyone, “Thare some of my most speshul potatoes!” She went to take a bite of her potato when they heard the sound again. A little louder this time. But it still sounded like a faint whistling.

“Hmm…sounds like the trumping,” a voice came from nowhere. Everyone looked around until they suddenly noticed Teddy Tedaloo standing at the entrance of Dee and Little Dee’s cave. Little Dee jumped when he saw the bear who seemed to appear out of thin air. “OH!” he yelped, “Wheres you did comes from?” Teddy Tedaloo smiled. “Oh, you know,” he answered, walking towards the picnic area. He picked up a piece of chocolate and ate it. “You hear that?” he asked everyone. The little teddy and her friends listened closely. And sure enough, they heard the whistling. “It’s the trumping,” Teddy Tedaloo said.

“Wha’s the Twumping?” the little teddy asked the bear. “Oh, let’s say it’s a…notification” Teddy Tedaloo answered, “to let us know they’re coming.” This piqued Zombie Jem’s curiosity. “Who’re they, exactly,” he asked the bear. Teddy Tedaloo laughed. “Oh, you’ll see soon enough,” he replied. Suddenly they heard the whistling again. And it was getting louder. “They’ll be here soon,” the bear told everyone. Dee and Little Dee both began jumping excitedly. “Oh new frens!” Little Dee said excitedly, “Wheres they at?”

As if on cue, a light fog filled the area. And deep in the fog was a figure. Ambling slowly towards the group, the figure grew in size until everyone could see who was walking toward them. The figure was in fact, multiple figures, walking in a single file line. The little teddy counted five frogs and two hedgehogs in the line. They stopped in front of the picnic area. Then a small frog wearing an orange shirt walked out from the line. The little teddy walked toward the frog. “Oh hewwo,” she said happily, “it’s so nice to meet you!!”

The little frog just looked at the little teddy for a minute. Mickey came up to the little teddy. “Um…what’s your name?” he asked. “Tico,” the little frog said simply. “Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you,” Mickey said, “And what about them?” Upon hearing him ask, each member of the line stepped forward and introduced themselves, quickly stepping back afterwards. “Happy Tico!” a jolly looking frog said. “Lavender,” came the answer from a small light green frog. “Rod,” said a slightly larger frog with red spots on his front paws. The smaller of the two hedgehogs stepped forward. “Quatdgy,” the little hedgehog said before walking off. A taller, skinny frog stepped forward. “Jenkin,” the frog said, then followed Quatdgy off into the fog. Finally, the larger hedgehog stepped forward and stood next to Tico. “Ed-dy” she introduced herself. “Why are you here,” Zombie Jem asked, confused. A slight smile appeared on Tico’s face. “Soup,” came their answer.

“Soup?” Zombie Jem questioned. Tico nodded. “Yes, soup,” the little frog said and then stepped back into the line. Moments later, Quatdgy came back, holding a stack of bowls. The little hedgehog handed a bowl to everyone and then shuffled off back to the line. The tall frog, Jenkin, came back and handed everyone a spoon. He too rejoined the line then. Once he was back in line, Ed-dy walked off. She came back shortly, pulling a large cauldron on wheels. She stopped the cauldron by the picnic area and walked off again.

Little Dee walked up to the cauldron, curious to see what was in it. He was expecting soup, but was surprised to see that the cauldron was empty. “Where soup?” the Cave bear asked Tico, “I is hungry!” Tico pointed in the direction Ed-dy had headed. Little Dee looked and saw that the hedgehog was walking back with a ladle. She reached the cauldron and began stirring. Suddenly, everyone heard a variety of sounds. The noises were all coming from the line where the strange visitors were standing. Mickey sniffed the air. “Wait a minute,” the small bear said, “are they…”

“Trumping,” Tico cut him off. He walked up and stood next to Ed-dy. “Twumping?” the little teddy asked, “what’s twumping?” The little frog simply pointed back to the line. Tico then took Little Dee’s bowl and held it out to Ed-dy. “Slug,” the little frog said to her. “Slug,” Ed-dy repeated before filling the bowl. Zombie Jem was amazed at how she filled the bowl when the cauldron had just been empty. “Soup,” Tico said, pointing to Jem. He walked up and Tico took his bowl and held it out. “Creamy tomato,” the little frog said. Ed-dy repeated this and then filled the bowl.

This went on until everyone had a full bowl of soup. The little teddy was delighted to have a bowl of potato soup. Mickey got a bowl of veggie beef, which smelled delightful. Dee received a bowl of cream of mushroom. Everyone was excited to try their soups that their odd guests had delivered. Tico nodded at everyone. “Soup,” the little frog said. Everyone excitedly tried their soups. And not surprisingly, everyone loved their soups.

“That was delicious!” Mickey said happily after finishing his fifth bowl of soup. Everyone had tried each others soups and none could decide which soup was the best. Dee was licking his bowl clean to make sure he got everything. “Oh!” he said happily, “Soup! Is vewy goods! Little Dee and I is so fulls now!” Little Dee clapped his paws together. “Oh yes,” he agreed, “is so goods!” Ed-dy smiled. “Good,” she said flatly. Jenkin went around and took everyone’s spoons while Quatdgy collected everyone’s bowls.

Once everything  had been collected, Quatdgy and Jenkin walked back into the fog, followed by Ed-dy and her cauldron. They came back and Quatdgy and Jenkin got back in line. Ed-dy stood in front of the friends and bowed her head. “Thank you so much for the nummy soups,” the little teddy said to the hedgehog. Tico stepped forward. “We are glad you enjoyed Ed-dy’s soup,” the little frog answered, “We shall be taking our leave now.” Ed-dy raised her head and took a spot at the far end of the line. Tico went to the opposite end.

The line of strange frogs and hedgehogs turned and started walking into the fog. They then began trumping as they disappeared. “Well they were an interesting bunch,” Zombie Jem said when they had completely vanished into the fog. The Fog seemed to disappear with them. “They were odd, but I did realy enjoy them,” Mickey said. “They gived us nums!” Little Dee added happily, “We do loves nums!” The little teddy giggled. “I hope we see them again one day!” she said. “Oh, I’m certain you will,” they heard Teddy Tedaloo say. He was walking away from them into the woods. “He’s an odd one too,” Zombie Jem said as the bear too disappeared. “But I yike him,” the teddy told her undead friend. The friends spent the night discussing the newest of the many odd friends they had made.

Little Teddy and the Giants

Teddy 38

Oh hello, everyone! Thank you for joining me for a new story. I think you’ll all enjoy tonight’s story. We have a couple of guest stars in our story tonight! But you’ll have to read the story to discover who they are! So, here is tonight’s story. Little Teddy and the Giants

Little Teddy and the Giants

The little teddy was in the forest. She was hanging out with her sister, Beary, her brother, Owl, and her two friends, Zombie Jem and Mickey.  The five of them were having a picnic. They had all sorts of yummy foodstuffs and were all enjoying themselves. “Oh, could you pass me some potatoes?” the little teddy asked Owl, who was sitting across from her. “Of course!” Owl replied, smiling, “here you go!” Owl passed a big bowl of potatoes to the little Teddy. She took a few and ate them up. Then, after a moment, she took the rest and ate them too. She giggled as she passed the empty bowl back to Owl.

The five friends enjoyed their food and, when it was all finished, they cleaned up everything and began to walk to Zombie Jem’s cemetery. “That sure was a nice picnic” Jem said cheerily, “So much great food!” The little teddy rubbed her tummy and smiled. “Oh yes,” she agreed, “so many potatoes!” She was about to say something else when a voice sounded from behind them. “Would you like to go on an adventure?” the voice said. Everyone turned around to see who was talking.

Standing behind them was Teddy Tedaloo. The bear was standing there, holding a copy of his newspaper, The Teddy Tedaloo Times. The little teddy noticed that the paper was opened and he seemed to be reading from it. “What’s this about adventure?” Zombie Jem asked, curious. Teddy Tedaloo looked up from his paper and smiled. “Oh, that,” he answered slyly, “I know where you can find a giant.” Hearing this, the little teddy grew quite excited. “Ooh! I’ve never met a giant!” she said excitedly. “Well then,” the bear replied, “follow me.”

The group followed Teddy Tedaloo through the forest. He led them to an area that none of them had ever been to. “Maybe this isn’t the best idea,” Owl said nervously to everyone else. The little teddy shook her head. “We have to go,” she insisted, “it’ll be so fun!” She remembered fondly Teddy Tedaloo leading her to the fairy teddies. “I think she’s right,” Mickey agreed, “this will be lots of fun! Owl soon found that their excitement was contagious. Soon he was just as eager to see this giant as they were. Beary too was looking forward to seeing the giant. “Oh let’s huwwy up,” she said to everyone, “we want to see the giant!” Teddy Tedaloo laughed. He began to walk a little faster, much to everyone’s delight.

After a while of walking, they came upon a large cave. The little teddy noticed it was much like the one where the fairy teddies had been. “I assure you, it’s different,” Teddy Tedaloo said, seeming to read her mind. The little teddy clapped her paws together. “Ok,” she said eagerly, “let’s go!” She began to head into the cave when Zombie Jem grabbed her paw. “Hold on now, PammyBear,” he told his friend, “It may be exciting and fun, but we must still be careful!” Mickey nodded. “He’s right, Pammy,” he agreed, “we should walk in threes as we head it. Just to be safe.”

Everyone agreed that he was right. Mickey and Zombie Jem walked on either side of the little teddy and Teddy Tedaloo and Owl walked with Beary. The moment they entered the cave, they could feel the temperature drop. “Everyone, do huddle a little closer together to stay warm,” Teddy Tedaloo instructed everyone. They did as he said and continued into the cave. It was a dark cave, so they had to walk slowly. “I do wish we had brought a flashlight,” Mickey said as they made their way through the cave. “Well, we didn’t know we’d be going through a cave,” Zombie Jem answered him. The little teddy laughed. “But is’s jus so exciting,” she said.

They walked a bit further into the cave before they noticed a light at the back of the cave. “OOOH!” the little teddy exclaimed, “That mus be where the giant is!” As soon as she said spoke, a large growl came from the back of the cave. Followed shortly by another. A shadow suddenly appeared on the back wall of the cave. It was a massive shadow that seemed to show not one, but two giants. Another growl sounded through the cave. The shadows now appeared to move.

Everyone began to get nervous. Teddy Tedaloo had said there was only one giant. Now it seemed there were actually two. Were they friendly giants? Maybe they were mean giants who ate teddies for dinner. Maybe it was one giant, but with two heads. These thoughts and concerns along with others raced through the heads of the adventurers. But the little teddy wasn’t going to let fear and concern beat her. “I’m going to meet the giants,” she said bravely, “I’m not afwaid!”

The little teddy walked toward the back of the cave, moving slower the closer she got. Everyone slowly followed her, still afraid of what might come to meet them from the back of the cave. As the Teddy neared the furthest part of the cave, another loud growl rang through the cave. The shadows began to move, seeming to lumber towards the group of explorers.

The little teddy backed up slowly as the shadows came closer. Then suddenly, the shadows began to shrink. And the two giants finally emerged from the back of the cave. Hobbling towards them came two completely normal sized teddies. They looked nearly identical, with one being about half the size of the other. Both teddies were smiling. When they reached the group the littler of the two spoke.

“Hello,” he said happily. He seemed to be a little sleepy. “I is Little Dee and he is Dee.” The other teddy smiled and waved. “We’z cave bears!” Dee told them cheerily. The little teddy giggled. “Oh, we thought you were giants,” she told them. Little Dee and Dee both laughed. “Oh no,” Dee giggled, “Just cave bears. We not giants.” Beary stepped closer to the two and put out her paw. “I’m Beary,” she told the two, “I’m happy to meet you.” Little Dee walked up and gave her a hug. “Oh, hello,” he said, “is nice to meets you too!”

The adventurer went around introducing themselves to the two cave bears. The two turned out to be quite the opposite of scary giants. They discovered that the growling they had heard earlier was actually the sounds of Dee and Little Dee yawning. “The cave just makes it sounds much louder!” Dee giggled. Little Dee began sniffing the air. “Oh, does you has foods?” he asked, “I is starving and I finks I smells foods.” The little teddy and her friends all laughed. “Oh yes,” Zombie Jem said, “We just had a picnic earlier and we have some leftovers!” Little Dee jumped for joy. “Oh!” he exclaimed, “We has never hads picnic before!” Dee nodded. “Its true! Can we has picnic?” he asked.

The adventurers led their new friends outside where they set up a new picnic. They gathered up the food they had leftover and gave it to the cave bears. “Oh thank yous!” Little Dee said excitedly, “So much foods is all very good!” Owl and Beary were sharing some candy and fruit they had brought. “Do you like the candy?” Beary asked Dee as he munched on a bit of everything. “Oh yes!” Dee answered merrily, “Is all so goods!” Owl giggled as he watched the two cave bears. “You two mus be weally hungry,” he laughed. “Cave bears eat lots of foods,” Little Dee told him, “Wees very hungwy all the time!”

The little teddy was having so much fun with her new friends. She went over to Zombie Jem and whispered something in his ear. Her undead friend eyed her curiously. “Are you sure, PammyBear?” he asked her. The little teddy smiled and nodded. “Ok,” he told her happily. He reached into the bag he’d brought his own picnic supplies in. He pulled out a smaller bag and handed it to the little teddy. She walked back over to the two cave bears. “These are for you,” she said smiling, “the fwom my vewy speshul cowwection.”

Out of the little bag, she pulled out two potatoes. She gave one to each bear. They both took a potato. “Whas this?” Little Dee asked. The little teddy giggled. “It’s a potato, siwwy,” she explained, “I wove potatoes! They’re jus so nummy!!” Mickey laughed. “She really loves potatoes,” he told the bear, “and she only shares them if she really likes you!” Little Dee and Dee smiled. They each took a bite of their potato. “OH!” Dee exclaimed, “Potatoes is very yummy!” Little Dee bounced happily. “Oh yes,” he agreed, “Is super yums!” The little teddy was very happy they enjoyed her potatoes.

After spending a while with the two cave bears, it was time for everyone to head home. “It was vewy nice to meet you bof,” the little teddy told her new friends. Both Dee and Little Dee smiled. “We hads fun at picnics!” Little Dee told her. “Oh yes! So much fun and yum foods!” Dee added. The new friends all embraced and said goodbye. “Make sures yoo visits us!” Dee told them all as he and Little Dee headed back into their cave. “Oh we certainly shall!” Mickey answered. The adventurers began their walk back home.

It was a few minutes before anyone realized that Teddy Tedaloo had disappeared. “Where did that silly bear go?” Zombie Jem asked to no one in particular. “Tha’s a good question,” the little teddy said. They looked around for a minute before deciding to just keep on their way. But, to their surprise, Teddy Tedaloo was waiting at Zombie Jem’s cemetery. “Where’d you disappear to?” Mickey asked the bear. “Oh, I had some stuff to take care of,” came the sly answer, “and now I must be going. I shall see you all later!” The little teddy waved as he left. “Bye bye Teddy Tedawoo,” she called to him. “That’s Tedaloo,” he called back, “and I shall see you later!”

The adventurers split up at Zombie Jem’s cemetery. Mickey decided to stay with Jem so they could hold another Jam session. The little teddy, Owl, and Beary hugged and headed home. “They were vewy nice cave bears,” the little teddy said to her siblings. “Yea, I can’t wait to see them again,” Owl replied. Beary nodded. As they headed home, they three of them talked about all the fun adventures they were sure to have with their new friends.

Little Teddy and the Thunderstorm

Teddy 39

Oh, hello, everyone! I have another story for you today. It was inspired by my little sister, Teddy’s experience with a thunderstorm last night. I won’t say more; we’ll just get right to the story. I now present to you Little Teddy and the Thunderstorm. I do hope you enjoy!

Little Teddy and the Thunderstorm

The little teddy was on her way to Zombie Jem’s. She was going to hang out with him and Mickey. She was excited for today because Mickey and Jem had decided to play some music together. Mickey was going to bring his personal guitar and keyboard for Jem to play. The little teddy couldn’t wait to hear them perform together. She was trying to get there as quickly as she could because she was so eager to see them play together.

She was walking along through the woods, singing to herself when she felt a rain drop. She looked up and, sure enough, it had started to rain. It wasn’t coming down too heavily, so the little teddy wasn’t too worried. She didn’t mind the rain. So she kept walking, singing to herself. She was so focused on getting to see her friends that she didn’t notice how dark it was getting.

She was about half way there when she first noticed it. A slow rumbling in the sky. The little teddy suddenly noticed how dark it had gotten. Another rumbling in the sky, this time much louder. The little teddy shivered. She didn’t like thunderstorms. She began to pick up her pace, trying to reach her destination as quickly as possible. But before she could get very far, a large bolt of lightning burst through the ever darkening sky, followed by a very loud thunder clap.

The little teddy was getting frightened. She had always been afraid of thunder, but she had never been caught outside in a storm. And the rain was now beginning to come down harder and harder. Another loud crack of thunder caused the scared little teddy to jump. “Eeeee!,” she screamed. She began quickly searching for a place to hide from the storm. She knew she was still a ways away from reaching Zombie Jem’s cemetery so she hoped to find somewhere to wait out the storm.

But, search as she did, the little teddy could find nowhere to hide. She realized that her safest bet was to try and hide under a tree. But, much to her dismay, none of the trees around were that big. When another large thunder clap shook the very ground, the little teddy decided to just make a run for the cemetery. She took off, running as fast as her little legs would carry her. Suddenly the loudest thunder clap she had ever heard rang through the sky.

The little teddy, shaken from the thunder, slipped and fell on the muddy ground. She struggled to get her footing and then ran to closest tree. Another loud crack of thunder sounded as she reached the tree. The little teddy huddled as close to the tree as she could and curled up into a ball. It had gotten really dark and she wasn’t quite sure if she was going the right way. The little teddy began to cry. She was frightened by the storm and felt all alone.

The little teddy was beginning to think she would have to spend the night alone and scared in the middle of a terrible thunderstorm when she heard a voice in the distance. She wasn’t able to make out the voices, but she tried her best to focus on them. It was hard to do while the constant thunder kept scaring her. Finally she was able to make out something. “PammyBear?” she heard a voice calling. “Pammy?” another voice called. The little teddy stood up. It had to be Zombie Jem and Mickey. Shivering, she focused on where she heard the voices coming from. “Hewwo?” she yelled out as loud as she could. When she got no reply, she began to cry again. She worried that her friends had given up the search.

Suddenly the little teddy heard the voice again, this time much closer. “PammyBear?” she could clearly make out Zombie Jem’s voice this time. “I’m here,” she cried out, “I’m over here!” To the little teddy’s relief, Zombie Jem and Mickey came running up to her. Her two friends both hugged her. “I’m so sorry it took so long for us to get here,” Zombie Jem apologized, “as soon as it started storming, we got worried.” Mickey nodded. “We waited just a few moments,” he told her, “and then when you didn’t show up, we came out to find you.”

Zombie Jem and Mickey got the little teddy back to the cemetery as quickly as they could. “There’s a large shed in the very back in of the cemetery,” Jem explained to her once they got there, “that’s where we’re headed.” Once they got her inside, Zombie Jem went to get a blanket. Mickey hugged his friend. “Oh no,” he said worriedly, “you’re shivering. Don’t worry, Jem will be back with a blanket soon.” The little teddy curled up against her friend, trying to get a little warmer. “It was so scawy,” she said, “I’m so scawed of thunderstorms.” Mickey rubbed the little teddies back. “It’s ok,” he assured her, “you’re here with us now.”

It was just a couple of minutes before Zombie Jem returned. He had a large blanket with him. “That’s a big blanket for one small teddy,” Mickey told him. His undead friend smiled. “Oh it’s not just for her,” he laughed, “it’s for us all!” He handed the blanket to Mickey, who wrapped it around himself and the little teddy. “I’ve made us all some hot chocolate,” he told Mickey, before walking away, “and I wanna get the computer so we can show PammyBear that recording.”

Upon hearing this, the little teddy perked up some. She sat up. “What wecording,” she asked. Mickey smiled. “Oh yeah!,” he answered, “Before we came out to get you, we had recording a jam session. We think it sounds pretty good!” Zombie Jem walked back over and handed a mug of cocoa to his friends. He set down his laptop in front of them and sat down, wrapping the blanket around himself. He started up the laptop and pulled up the recording. “Get ready to enjoy the musical stylings of Mickey and the Undead,” Jem said proudly. The little teddy began to forget about her ordeal in the storm as she and her friends spent the night listening to music.
